Willy and 'The Bat'  (2014)

Training  (2011)

The SBDRS provides additional support to existing emergency service teams (Police, Fire, Ambulance) and the Baie-D'Urfé public works departments in the event of a disaster or incident that would necessitate additional emergency services trained personnel.

The Rescue Squad currently has 19 members, both men and women, who participate solely as volunteers as they understand the need for community services such as the SBDRS. Some of these members are former volunteer firemen from the Baie-D'Urfé Volunteer Fire Department; their background and knowledge definitely helps the squad.

Services provided:

  • Specially-trained First Responder Services to the Town of Baie-D'Urfé for residents and support to special town events such as Baie-D'Urfé Days and the Winter Fest

  • Emergency tree clearing services and debris removal

  • Water pumping services in the event of severe storms and spring thaw

  • Emergency electrical power and lighting

  • Search and Rescue

  • General protection services
